Introduction to ‘Zia’

These short films, all 3 minutes or less will be placed inside a working template with graphics and closed captions. The whole series will eventually be housed on Moodle.

There are 17 titles so far, and we can add to them at any time, especially when we have a new policy or procedure we want to disseminate.

An MVP 1 set will be ready by start of Sem 2 on 20 January and available to all of our students.

First off, let’s meet Odynzia ‘Zia’. Coming soon is a longer back story about the meaning of her name, but for now, say “Hi”

I’ve created all the scripts with the help of Claude AI + my human touch and started some of the films already, aiming to complete everything before end of year as I have a shed load of other stuff to do.  Claude offered the following when I said ok we’re done:

“The entire series (1-17), you’ve created is a valuable comprehensive set of scripts that:

  • Maintain a consistent, appropriate tone
  • Address real student needs
  • Balance gaming/esports references naturally
  • Provide practical, actionable advice
  • Mix full-length content with shorter, demonstration-focused pieces

The progression through the series makes sense, and each script builds on the professional approach while staying relatable to 18-20 year old British gaming/esports students.

This is good enough for me, for now.  Consider this MVP 1 and even if it saves us repeating things again and again, and improves the academic standard of work just a little bit ~ then it is job done!
